Gunman takes hostages at Yountville veterans home, CHP says

A Northern California veterans home is on lockdown amid reports of an active shooter, officials said. Reports came in about 10:30 a.m. of an active shooter at the Veterans Home of California-Yountville, said June Iljana, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Veterans Affairs. The home sits across the street from the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville on California Drive. Residents at the home are sheltering in place while the California Highway Patrol is responding with assisting agencies, Iljana said. It is not immediately known if there are any injuries.
