After a day of deliberation, a jury found Christopher Kohrs, 40, guilty of hit and run causing injury and hit and run causing serious permanent injury. He was remanded into jail custody by Superior Court Judge Carol Yaggy. “It does not matter who you are or who you work for, everyone will be held accountable for their actions,” said Max Szabo, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office.

Several people reportedly dead in Florida bridge collapse Published on March 16, 2018 at 01:20AM by By ADRIANA GOMEZ LICON, Associated Press MIAMI (AP) — A new pedestrian bridge collapsed onto a highway at a Miami-area college Thursday, crushing at least five vehicles under massive slabs and killing several people, authorities said. Several people were seen being loaded into ambulances and authorities launched search and rescue missions. Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alejandro Camacho told CBS News that there were "several fatalities." Miami-Dade Fire Rescue tweeted that "multiple" people were injured when the bridge connecting Florida International University and the city of Sweetwater collapsed. Authorities said they were working on confirming the numbers. The bridge was still under construction and expected to open to foot traffic next year.

U.S. national security officials say the FBI, the Homeland Security Department and intelligence agencies have determined that Russian intelligence and others are behind attacks on the American energy sector. The U.S. officials the energy industry targets were chosen deliberately. The officials say the Russians obtained access to the energy system and "conducted network reconnaissance" of industrial control systems that run U.S. factories and the electricity grid.

In a rare joint statement, U.S. President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister Theresa May said "there is no plausible alternative explanation" to Russian responsibility.
