Sinkhole on Hwy 101 near SFO causes severe traffic

A sinkhole appeared Tuesday afternoon on Highway 101 in South San Francisco, causing a severe traffic alert and stalled traffic near San Francisco International Airport, officials said. Shortly before 12:30 p.m., California Highway Patrol received reports of a 1.5-foot hole in the far right southbound lane of the highway, just south of the exit for Grand Avenue, authorities said.
