A rare weekend of sunshine and summer temperatures beckoned to cooped up San Francisco residents as massive crowds took over the city’s parks and beaches.
Many were alarmed, though, by the sheer volume of people that made it challenging for them to safely enjoy the weekend. Lorraine Meier, a woman living a few blocks away from Ocean Beach described the scene there: “Hundreds of people driving from all over blanketing the beach, leaving lots of trash, blocking our driveways, and not socially distancing,” she tweeted.
