Thousands of protesters thrust clenched fists in the air, donned knitted pink hats, chanted demands for reproductive rights and social justice for all before marchin through downtown San Francisco as part of the third Women’s March Saturday. The march came just weeks after a record 127 women were sworn into the 116th United States Congress — 21 Republicans and 106 Democrats — making the new body the most racially and ethnically diverse in the country’s history with the first Native American woman and the first two Muslim women.
