Senate committee looking into 2nd accuser, Avenatti comments

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who accuses him of sexually assaulting her decades ago (all times local): 11:40 p.m. Senate Judiciary Committee staff say they will look into a report that a second woman is accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. Judiciary spokesman Taylor Foy says Republican committee staff found out about the claim when The New Yorker reported that Deborah Ramirez says Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a college party. The New Yorker piece says Senate Democrats have been looking into the allegations.
