She wanted to make a difference, so she dedicated her life to helping those who were broken. Since September 2016, Christine Loeber, 48, had been the executive director of the Pathway Home center in Yountville, which helps veterans of post-9/11 wars who have post-traumatic stress disorder. On Friday, she and two colleagues were killed there by an Army veteran of the war in Afghanistan who had been treated for PTSD. Loeber radiated positivity, her friends said. And she was one of the hardest workers they had ever met. She always cared.
